reading 500 via the dash ? maybe you have a vacumm leak somewhere....what engine do you have ? EFI or carby ?

on some honda engines there is a flathead aduster screw for the idle above the throttle body....but id think your engine is a dual carb so i cant say -

anyone else?

between both carbs where the accelerator cable connetcs the the throttle shafts, there will be a spring loaded phillips head screw, look at it, you will se it moves with the throttle. turn it in to adjust the RPMs. best to use and external RPM gauge as the one on your dash my not be accurate
