HONDA JAZZ GE prospective buyer help

Hello Ozhonda!

My girlfriend and I are very keen on getting a Honda Jazz GE, as a daily, and also to teach her to drive in it too!

We were initially looking to get a GD, but hearing about the CVT issue was slightly off-putting, so we stepped up the budget, did our research, and are now after the VIBE S due to its Japan manufacture, and also the automatic climate control would be nice..

Are there any other bonuses that the Vibe S has to offer with respect to its thailand produced counterpart?

Other options would just be late model VTI-S as well, (she is keen on the body kit that comes with the Vibe S though).. looking at a 2012 model i suppose.

Can any current owners shed some light as to their experiences with these cars? any pros and cons? or if anyone would even like to share an opinion or anything about them in general that would be much appreciated!

Is there anything in particular that i should be looking out for when inspecting?

We were also looking at VW Polo and Golf, but wasn't sure about long term reliability - and possible hefty service fees.

the cvt issue was really only on earlier models & the 2015 model is cvt & no problems there. I have a GE myo9 jazz full auto & it as a great car. be selling it soon as I have this years model. I love the jazz (this is my 3rd one) only small hatch they you can cart almost everything, no other small hatch seats fold completely flat & no other small hatch that the rear seats lift of the floor so you can cart tall items.

got a 2012, has 2 harness spots for baby seats, new model only has 1 if thats an issue.

good car :) easy to drive. we (me) like to think jap build cars are more reliable. vibe s gets you top of the range features like the auto climate control, indicators in mirrors etc.

I think the vibe s has foglights and maybe touch screen on top of the vibe
With bigger sports wheels to
and the build quality is great as well

The Vibe S unfortunately wasn't to my standard (very anal about cosmetic blemishes - both interior and exterior)

BUT - We did manage to place a deposit on an 08 VTI-S GE A/T, black, low km for the age, for what i thought was a decent price.

Really good condition overall - plenty of plans for the little thing.

Might start a little build thread soon :)
