Hey guys,

So I was informed by the previous owner of my EP3 that they did not come stock with an immobiliser. On one hand that is good because getting a new key cut is inexpensive (I wasn't given a spare) however it increases my stress when I've parked somewhere dodgy lol.

Are there any aftermarket alarm systems or immobilisers recommended? Ideally I would like to buy from a place in Sydney that will do the installation as well.

Thanks.

I got my mongoose m80g at Kims car radio in Canley Vale installed for 450 about 2 years ago.
Carbon car systems are good too. Good blokes and customer service.

Oh cool I might give them a ring. How's the range for your keyless entry?

It's about 5-10m .. The m80g is a good alarm but if your after lots of bells and whistles like remote start, range, etc.. then you're paying lot more.

The one thing I'd recommend if you get an alarm is a Window lift kit. Best cheap mod ever..

Yeah auto up. I actually got the lift kit from carbon car systems. From memory it was on special and only cost like $70 installed. Think it cost more now. You can ask Kims car radio, not sure how much.

When window is already up. Power us applied straining the window motor. Causing premature wear.
