Got my check engine light scanned in my 96 Integra DC4, and it reads code 6, Coolant Temperature Sensor.

Anyway, sometimes when I turn my car on, the revs jump on their own up and down to around 3500 then down to 1000, for about a minute. Is this a symptom of a bad Coolant temperature sensor, or is that another issue on its own?

Also my idle revs sit at around 1100-1500. Is this also because of the coolant temp sensor?

Thanks. Just worried there might be other issues.

Tighten up the grounding wires on the thermostat housing and check the gearbox ground strap

Yeah change your ECT sensor and your integra will love you :)
Exactly the same issue with mine...
It gets worse with time and sometimes wouldnt start.
