Hi,
ive done all the bolt ons on my dc5r and had it tuned at 160atw. thinking of adding a supercharger kit to it which supposedly makes 240atw, its a rotrex set up.

Am in the dilemma of choosing to keep this n/a from factory car na or supercharge it, so i am wondering has anyone boosted thir dc5/k20 or honda and regretted it ?

No one ever regrets it. As long as you buy quaility parts and a good tuner/fitter.

It seems all the k swaps are quickly sold from regret , no money or both.

But turboed hondas seem to keep for the long run.

Hows the fuel like guys?

Guessing for daily commute boost is rarely hit?

Daily driven... fuel economy is same driving around town... Daily boosting happens... the more you boost, the more fuel you use... so if you have self control (which i struggle with) you will be fine with fuel (depending on tune...)

Regrets would be blowing the motor lol.

Just make sure you get a good tune and you'll be happy

You can't make the statement without at lest giving us a reason?

The only thing i don't like is the additional NVH from it

the engine makes noise, not a note

my only regret was not getting a/c to work properly with the turbo.
It was fun while it lasted.

Also a turbo honda is alot cheaper to make/keep than other turbo cars

Some of the things I've seen over the years:

* not using a big enough turbo
t3 should be the absolute minimum size.

* not breathing out the pcv valve.
easy to forget , if not done the crank case gets enormous strain and ultimately can blow the engine.

* using FMU's.
stay away just run bigger injectors/fuel pump.

* silly one but not having lsd gearbox and 300hp + doesn't work.

Buy the best parts you can afford and probably the most important thing get a solid tune as cutting corners on ecu/tune/dyno is asking for tears...

FI is prob the most efficient and cost effective way with a Honda,
if done correctly and well thought out kit pieced together, u cant go wrong...

ohh, and prob pick, find a reliable and caring TUNER
