Hi All,

I recently had my AC pump replaced. I got a mechanic to do it because I don't have all the AC gas gear. Since then I've noticed that the engine does not come up to full temperature when I let it idle (warm up) in the morning. After about 5 mins of driving it warms up and I feel the heat on my feet in the car.
Also measured the top hose temp at 30degC after idling for 15mins... And the electric fan did not click-in either.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
All I can think of is the Cooling System thermostat (I'm old school) was removed but I can't understand why the mechanic would have touched that while doing the AC?.... I've also just put a litre of coolant into the expansion bottle and I'm fairly sure it was up to the line before I had the AC done.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.. Thanks.

may have removed the thermostat to bleed out the coolant?
Anyway better put an OEM on back in.
My CRV only takes about 1-2min driving to come to temp.

Do you need to drain the coolant to regas the AC??
