Hey fellas, need all the help I can get. This is so frustrating and i've tried so much but nothing has changed.

So fuel pump and filter was changed earlier this week and car started fine in the garage that night.

This morning car would not crank at all (doesn't even try). It throws a blinking catalytic overheat light (no CEL). Nothing shows up on the hondata either. When i turn the key, NOTHING happens like if the car was immobilised. I can hear the click from the main relay and electronics cut out like it would if the car started. But nothing happens. When i release the key, electronics come back on.

Suspects are:
- Starter motor
- battery (all interior electronics work, voltage is stable and sits where it usually does)
- main relay (checked solders they are fine)
- grounding (checked all)
- O2 sensor (don't think so, wouldn't start unplugged)

So strange.. never seen anything like it.

A question i have is.. is there some sort of wire going to the cat? I have no recollection of plugging anything to the cat apart from the wideband which is independent to the ecu.

THANK YOU for any help in advance.

can you hear the fuel pump prime?

Get someone to smack the starter with a hammer while you try to crank it or get someone to check the starter signal voltage while you try to crank it.

Nothing moves at all when I turn the key. Just that flashing light. I can try that but don't wanna bash it with a hammer. Will try the voltage thing first..
For some reason not convinced it's the starter

For something like this, I'd double check everything. From Fuel lines to the bolt that sits on top of the fuel filter.

Double check injectors, spark plugs.

Hard one for remote connection engine start help.

Previous owner did. Jdm ek4 cluster but I'm assuming it's just plug and play to an obd2 rywire?

Btw using one of your ecus :)

cool

your car does not have the cat temp warning system and this cluster has the immobiliser indicator connected to the cat warning indicator.
