Lol At all these answers. My FD2 does 0-100 in 10 seconds.
These civics are terrible from a complete stop due to their laggy throttle. If you do a rolling it goes alright.
I can take 5.7L V8s with a 60 roll

I dont think so. My DC5R cannot do this. Trust me I've made myself look like a fool before.

the auto does it in 9.9secs, wouldn't it make sense if the manual is faster than this time? hmm..

i agree, the torque in those v8's are useful on rolling.

hard to really get an accurate time, different magazines/reporters/people count the time with heavy launches, some without etc.

was probably on a flatbed :)

I also think this is not true.
We all already know by now, what the car manufacture puts on paper isn't always 100% correct.

If memory serves me correct FD2R box is just 10+ FN2R box.
Which are very cheap as most wreckers have told me that they cannot be used for a kswap.
But from what I've seen it can.

With regards to OP, I must apoligize for the rude posts, how impolite :(
A FD2 2.0 manual should be 0-100 in around 8-9 seconds, close to 9 seconds. The R18 SOHC 1.8L already does it in about 9.0 seconds; so *surely* the 2.0 low-spec DOHC K20 should be slightly faster than that. Surely.
If memory serves me correct FD2R box is just 10+ FN2R box.
Possibly, the ratios are certainly the same. However Honda lists a Torsen LSD for the FN2 but just Helical LSD for the FD2 (i.e., a geared LSD but not necessarily a Torsen type one). Possibly this may just be something lost in translation - they may very well use exactly the same Torsen LSD... not sure. On the other hand, it's quite possible the FD2 uses a different type of helical LSD (?).

That's faster than a (or "the") (crappy) FN2 which takes 7.2seconds (forget Honda's optimistic official figures) - that's really impressive indeed! :)
That's with Hondata as well I suppose? :) When you say Intake is that throttle body and manifold as well?
( It really does suck that we can't get proper FD2Rs in this country; ruddy Kiwis can import all the fun cars :P )

I don't understand, what's the difference from the DC5 or EP3 casing? Aren't they the same - why would the casing be different?
...and the FN2 has better (shorter) ratios than the DC5 or EP3. Obviously the 10+ models have the Torsen, whether or not it's the same as the FD2.

The cases have different mounting points and a reverse style shifter mechanism.
The FN2 also has LONGER 4-5-6 ratios, but a 5.1FD compared to the 4.7 in the DC/EP boxes.
