hey guys..
just wondering if theres anyone who has done this before or knows much about it.

i have an EG which i plan on eventually doing an engine swap to prefferably a b18c maybe a b16a.. it is currently auto but i want it to be transfered to manual at the same time as the swap.

is this a difficult or expensive task?
will it affect the interior of my car or anything else of my car?
are there any problems with doing this that i should be aware of?
does the clutch & gearbox fit in easy (i will prob buy a heavy duty clutch at the time)?

ive heard that the gearbox mounts need to be rewelded or something..
is this worth doing??

i would much prefer doing a tranny swap than buying another EG thats manual

ive been told its not that big a task if your doing an engine swap because all the running gear is being changed..

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated :)

i have done it in an ed...fairly easy, but that was with a cable clutch.... i beleive stuff has to be welded in an eg but im not sure what...

it's quite alot of work.. but if you're gonna do it with ur conversion, it'll be much easier to do..

and with ur interior..
you're PRND lights on your cluster won't be of any use, so you could get a new cluster while your at it, you'll have a new pedal, and you'll have a manual stick rather than the auto stick.. pretty much your interior in a nutshell..

thanks guys..
what about that plastic console that is around the park brake and gear shifter.. ill more than likely need to pick up a manual version do you think? so the manual g/box will fit in..

also.. does the clutch fit in easy? or is there some work involved.. will i keep my current brake and accelerator pedals or are new ones going to need to replace them?
