Hmmmmz.. was just wondering what the differences are between the b18c and the b18c2? faster? capabilities etc? is there much difference?
Also... What engine does my 94 Civic Vti have? its sohc but i dunno the name..
help on it...
-Pda-
B18C = JDM SiR-G Integra
B18C2 = AUDM VtiR Integra
B18c has higher compression compared to Aus spec there fore more power output.
Your civic has as D16y8 SOHC VTEC 1.6 litre
Do a search in the future (Cant be bothered to flame now)

Dont post if you have no ****ing idea. :rolleyes:
There is a diff, one has higher compression than the other.
Thus allowing the B18c for more power output.

its not a huge HP difference between the SiR and the Vti-r anyway which was my point. although obviously b18c could also mean type R which would mean there is more of a difference

get out of here man!
what the fark does that have to do with anything in this thread?
use the search feature before hijacking other threads man. there has been PLENTY of topics on both sohc vtec and the good ol dohc d series. it will also prevent alot of flaming like this:rolleyes:

Since we are in the topic (kinda)
Is it Viable to buy a b18c2 do head work (cam gears, cams, retainers, valves and what not) say Buddy Club or Brian Crower
And use B18cR Pistons wit ARP head studs and Rod bolts? I assume stroke and bore are the same since its still a b18
And make the same power as a b18cr would similar works done to it.
Keep in mind that B18cr or B18c7 set you back 3-4k where as the b18c2 will cost approx 1.5 - 2k (just the motor)
Take into account that your car already has a b series inside.
