Ok, I have searched extensively but cannot find a definitive answer.

I may be a bit paranoid but wondering if I can drive my car to the dyno for a retune with a new intake mani installed? Is there anything I can do to minimise the risk aside from staying at light throttle and not getting into boost?
I do have a couple of small uphills to negotiate but otherwise it's all downhill or flat driving.
Have gone from a standard P72 manifold on an 8 PSI setup ( standard motor) to an Edelbrock Victor X with a 68mm throttle body. Gotta set the TPS, prime fuel etc then start her up tomorrow, hopefully get the tune done later this week.

Getting it on to a trailer or truck is easier said than done, given my narrow and steep driveway and no room out the front of the house but if it has to be done it has to be done..

push car out to front of house and get it towed to the tuna place via truck?

Driveway gradient is about 1:4= no chance of pushing it even with 5 mates to help..

It would be a challenge to get it on a trailer/truck so want to avoid that task if at all possible

u will be fine to drive it...
be sensible and keep it off boost as much as possible...
my bro has been driving his boosted vtir for over 2months..
originally tuned with oem dual butterfly inlet, I swapped it over for a skunk2 itr style 1 and have been waiting for tuner...
was re-tuned Thursday night and he said it was fine...

Thanks, I suspected that was the case but as I said, just being paranoid!

Just gotta keep the load on the engine and revs balanced and low ....

What if you were to disconnect the turbo and just drive NA to the shop?

or set your wastegate to bail really low?

Yeah I did think about disconnecting the waste gate actuator so that it won't build any boost. 1 little clip and it's off and open (internally gated).

I got the car started today and it fired up straight away after priming the fuel a couple of times. Idle was at 8-900 and slightly erratic for about 2 mins then settled down. Given I don't have a FITV anymore I think that's fine. Warmed it up to operating temp and everything was smooth.

Booked in for the tune on Friday, surprised I managed to get it booked in so soon!
