from what i have heard the modern day 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers are pretty similar..... although fundamentally they will be slightly diff as mentioned above.

personally i would go with the 4-1s because our b16as dont make any power down low anyway....so what is the point in making them slightly better (down low) if (when we want to drive hard) we rev it anyway?

Its all objective. Toda makes a 4-2-1 racing header which makes more power than most other jdm headers. 4-1 headers are arguably more suited for top end sacrificing NOT ONLY BOTTOM END BUT ALSO MIDRANGE...In all cases is just as important that you choose a collector which matches your exhausts' piping.

IMO go 4-1 if you cant afford the TODA (have you got 1700 buxs for a header?) and get a good one like the DC sports 4-1 or the JDM ITR 4-1; you'll be looking at about 600-900 for either of these. I think someone here is selling a DC sports 4-1...humm
