Hey guys, I think my EK's fuel indicator is not working properly... when i fully fuel the tank up, the meter show only 7/8 .and now after doin almost 180, it's already touchin the bottom line.. is there some problem with the fuel sensor. there is no leakin as far as i know. is there is a sensor problem, how do i go about fixing it? thanks ppl

180, as in 180kms ?
180kms for 7/8 tank is quite shocking for a civic..
running rich for sure, you should check it out mate.
either that, or your sensor is buggered..
check it out anyway

when you go to fill it up, do you fill 30+ litres to get it back up to the 7/8 it's displaying ?
if you do, then I assume you're running rich..

Honestly, I have no idea..
But you could try the DIY ECU test in the Articles/Reviews section, could be a start ?

180km is not much. Could you possibly be running that rich and not notice? Also don't think it'd be a leak, 'cos that's about 20L of fuel!! Seems like a sensor or guage problem.

hmm, i'm assuming it isn't a gauge/sensor problem, since he said he fills it up ~30 litres, then is empty after 180kms..

ok...i went downstairs to take alook this is wat i get :
http://img51.echo.cx/img51/8300/picture66of.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us/)
after a short trip to the petrol station and fill in 5.86L ($6.18) of fuel. I make sure it clicks before i take out the pump. After it clicks like 4 times i gave up..:D
and this is wat i get:

on the way home it had reached half way mark and now drop again.. is this normal or is my sensor just f***ed?:(
BTW i'm suprised i've droved about 2 weeks and only cost me $6.18 will as when i drove my dad's van it's like $40+

How easy is it to fix? is it inside the fuel tank or outside of it? i got quote from Honda if it's inside then it will cost $150+ if it's outside then it will be around $80

i dont think ur running rich man....
maybe a bad gauge, i dont really know how those work. As for the ECU running the car that rich.....just not possible, it involves delivering 3X the fuel....!
check ur gauge, or take it to a honda dealership
