Dealer frame damage

Hey all,

Popped down to the dealer to check out his stock and found a cb400 and vtr250. Both had decent dents in the tank and rust (i assume surface) on the tank. but the VTR had a 50c size dent in the frame with rust as well. would this be an issue? think he was asking ~3k for it which i think is too much based on condition and kms even though it was regod till June i think.

Best way to tell is to use a hammer. Give it a good tap, not too hard, not too soft. If the dent becomes bigger, you know its no good. If it stays the same, you know the frame is still strong.

got a vt250 this morning and worked on it with a mate. turned out the fuel tap was backwards and the starter motor is playing up

good thing i only paid 730, but we were talking to some guys and they had just sold 2 working spadas for 600
