Hi guys,

Has anyone tried any of the Chinese made tyres such as (Rotallas, Rapid or Unigrips)?
I'm looking for sets for 225/40/18s on my Civic...

pros and cons?

Just don't do it, most of them should not be legal in my opinion.
Not on roads that I also use anyway.

Almost zero grip in the wet is the most likely result

I;d budget for ~$120 per a corner depending your rim size.

Don't be a jew on the rubber that is the only connection in between the road and your car that your inside of.

Ling long is ling long. You answer your own question. You know the risks in using ling longs. They are cheap and do a temp job but if it starts to slip early or it goes you know the consequences. Don't put yourself or family into it UNLESS you know the consequences. Cheapest of tyres i'd go would be Rotalla. They if i would say so.. top of the ling longs. They are good enough for the daily use and they are well reputable company and many people use them. You could get 235/40/18 for like $90 P/T. Thats where id go with cheap if you wanted. Depends on your application if you want street performance, daily etc.

Rotalla best in market, can vouch, paid $70 per tyre and I'm still alive.

Love them, so so good.
