if it gets wets you'll go faster . I.E nos wet shot. so the more water you get into the filter and the faster it gets sucked up the intake pipe into your engine, the faster you'll go.
50hp can be expect from front mount water sucking filters. excellent mod in my opinion

You might aswell run a flexible pipe from the front of your car straight to your inlet, would fo the same job in catching water, but prob do a better job of ramming air into your engine.

yeah i wouldnt recommend gettin this...
big risk of ur intake gulping a whole lota water when it rains...

oh sorry forgot to mention..

at autojoy there is a perspex cover that goes over the front.. it has small 5c sized holes.. not much water hits the air filter on a rainy day unless you pour water onto it..

well will a pod filter be better than this? performance wise?

im talkin a simota CAI for $220 or k&n

ur stock air box is beter than the pod filter man.... unbolt, rip out the insulating material and put in a k/n panel filter... its loud, its clean, its better.

a pod filter is no good cos its sucking air right outta ur engine bay... which is HOT air btw... if u duct cold air to it, however, it becomes ok

and iwth regards to the perspex cover with 5c sized holes on the try hard front mount intercooler.... remember God does make rain droplets in sizes smaller than the 5c hole

Look at where the intake pipe is. Air would have to make a 90 degree turn. Would be very turbulant too.

It's just a fake intercooler. 100% rice.

Its a waste of time and money.....and you would probably loose power too. Honda have designed the civic well, just get a good panel filter and you will be fine. If you want to gain that extra 1kw more, then get yourself an air intake system with a pod filter at the end.

This filter is not!!!! a cool idea at all, not only is rain going to be a problem but thing how dusty your car gets, that will be your filter. When dust goes in the intake hmmmm not cool!!
