Am I insane for considering buying a 2007 Accord Euro Luxury with 269,000kms? The only reason I am even entertaining the thought is because the service history is impeccable. Always serviced at Honda Ringwood which includes all repairs done by them. Clutch was changed 3 years ago, water pump done, alternator done, timing chain replaced about two years ago, front bushes about 18months ago. Car has always been garaged and is a one lady owner so paint work is excellent and interior is in great condition too plus everything works. My main purpose for purchasing this car is a cheap daily and I've negotiated the price down to 6k.

Would you buy it? Why? Why not?

What would resale be like on it considering I'm most likely going to get rid of it at 350,000kms?

Are there any other things I should look out for or expect to die a horrible death and plan to fix? I've heard AC compressor is one...?

I wouldn;t do it. Unless your planning to rebuild motor and box sometime in the future.

You also gota account for other things like say sussy bushings etc etc.

also the aircon compressor. known to fail. mine had 140000 ks when bought and was told by the seller that he had changed the compressor.

check all bushes if ok you can do an engine rebuild or swap in a lower km engine depends whichever is cheaper same result

k24 engines are dirt cheap round about 1k for around 100k km on the engine or if you look around probably can get it cheaper got mine for $700 80k km 05 model

I would buy it,these engines are bullet proof, and Euros have reputation for excellent build quality and great resale values.
