Master cylinder

Hi guys. need some help on my civic 96 GLi. having some problem with my brake master cylinder so thinking to purchase and install it myself. but i not sure what model of the master cylinder i should get. anyone have any ideal or info please tell me. thank u. P/s: does my civic gli come with abs ? sorry if my question sound noob.:o

Just get the one for year of the car you have without ABS.

Unless you are trying to upgrade your braking system there is no reason to change to a different model.

Your car did not come with ABS. It's a base model, you're lucky to have EFI with how the OZ Civics are.

I personally would stick to OEM, but yes that is the correct one.

i just purchase my civic a month ago. change the engine oil,filter,gear and brake oil by myself. now the master cylinder got problem so need to change. Save your pennies and buy an OEM timing belt, or a Gates, you don't want to risk your engine on a shoddy aftermarket one.

If your on a tight budget you can find quite a few wrecks with the right sizing for you. Gli usually has the 15/16" and if need if your brake booster is leaking it should have a sticker that says 260v. 290v is 1" bb & bmc. but bmc if i can see your in syd call up mekong auto spare. They'll get you oem parts cheaper than dealer if shipping isn't your thing. gl !
