Hey guys :) I have always been a CRX lover, but I just recently explained to my old man that the CRX is only a 2 seater and wants something a little more practical for me :x So I was thinking about getting either an EG or EK civic, but are there any good ones for under 10K?? Don't want anything special, just DOHC will do for now. I highly doubt a B16A will pop out at any moment, so i'd rather DOHC than SOHC VTEC :) Any thoughts on whats a better deal for the cash? I dont mind if the car is a stocker, at first i'd only wanna drive it like that anyway (No cash!) Thanks!

Not sure on when i'm actually gonna buy a car yet as i'm still researching the market. But theres an EK I saw for $9,990.. Its a crappy colour but im not fussed, can always get a respray.. If your friend is thinkin of goin any lower let us know, dunno if I can reach the 11K mark (strapped for cash) :( Remember I gotta insure/pay for rego too.. Thats why I need a cheaper car :x

dohc only? look no further than the civic si eg model... should be under 10k now and you will have a bit of power, come close or even beat some sohc vtecs.... benjamin has a damaged one for sale, 3kono if u are interested in spending a bit of cash fixing it up, shouldnt be too much :D otherwise there are many more examples out there...

goodluck.

So i'm assuming the only EK thats DOHC is the VTI-R??? Damn thats a large leap :? Hmm I guess its back to lookin for a nice EG hehe :)

heh yes read the civic info thread at the top of this forum!! it will answer all of your questions but in simple

EG Si = DOHC NON-VTEC
EK VTi-R = DOHC VTEC

Rest of the EGs and EK's are SOHC VTEC or NON-VTEC depends
