Question about Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs

The description for these springs state that they will drop the car by 1.5" and are designed for use with OEM shocks. Does this mean that I can simply switch out the springs in my EG2 del sol with these and not have to replace the stock shock absorbers?
Will the springs for an EG/EK fit straight on or should I go for the DC2R springs? There is no compatibility information for an EG2.
