2001+ honda civic coupe

Guys im in love with the new model of the civic coupe.. as in 2001 model... any chance of AUS getting these civics??... if not are they allowed to be privately imported from the US... coz this car is hot guys... sorry if this is a stoopid question...

ehueuehuh icic no probz... but im in nsw usually we're bit more strict in imports.... for example u guys in vic can get jdm type R.... we cant... :P.. thx neway

If I recall correctly, the 2001+ Civic coupes are produced in America for the USDM. They are all LHD. I think that they were called EM2.

They are not available for import via SEVS, or RAWS. If you wanted to import one, you would have to bring it in as a private import. To qualify for that, you must own the vehicle overseas for atleast 12 months, and show proof of residency/use of vehicle. Once it arrives here, it would have to be converted to RHD.

On a side note, whilst checking the SEVS list, I noticed that compliance for Honda Beats is available.

SEVS/RAWS/Private import scheme covers all states and territories. Victoria is arse-****ed by the government just as much as we are in NSW when it comes to importing :)

yeah i wanted the ej coupe...but i cant import it as it has the same chassis as the hatch/sedan....even though it may have a b16a..... if it has the same chassis as a locally delivered model forget it

Thats not allways the case. DOTSARS assesses a vehicles eligbility on a number of criteria. For example, the Ferrari 360 is available for import even though it was offered locally. Same with the S15 Silvia.

Are we talking about EP3 Civic shape? If yes, why go for USDM, when it's produce in UK which has the same driving side as us! Only way is through private import as mentioned before!

I think we're talking about the notch back coupe, not the hatch. I'm pretty sure that the UK only got the three and five door hatch.

yehh tats the one.... damn they hot..... so we have no chance of getting em eyy unless its private import.... farkkk... i relly want them
