Why does the ac have to be removed. .. as im in the process of piecing together a kit in interest to know why most ppl remove the ac. I would like to keep it as it keeps my wife happy and off my case about spending money on cars...to those with wives im sure you understand.

u mad?

Dependant on the exhaust manifold is it not?

yeah i believe you are right. seems there are some cast iron manifolds that allow for the use of a/c and p/s but you must stay under a certain size turbo. which suits me as im not looking to break any records. the only i want to crack is a smile.

yeah thats the site i saw the cast iron ones for about $150. i know they are not as good but for what i need at the moment in the early stages of setting this up i think im gunna go the cast. this is still the d16y4 motor and ive read so many different things about them being shit with turbo and then some saying there good for some fun. so ill go the cheaper option... at least it isnt ebay. :)

Or alternatively you could take a look at cast top mount manifolds :p

Nice and fun with a LSD :P haha, depressing going uphill but no sweat when I slap a big old turbo on it soon. :)
Wheel spin for days of course

^Just realised that top mount cast manifolds may not clear the AC components such as the condensor, unless you relocate :S woops

Mini ram or modified ram manifold way to go for power and to keep a/c, can use log but that's a but primitive

you should route the A/C into the intercooler for colder intake charge. you will gain heaps of power
