I've just received my insurance renewal notice today..... I am currently with RACV, been with them over almost two years now, this what they are offering me: Rating 1 for life, $825 for comprehensive cover...... (including free hire car, if my car is in repair, *touch wood*).

I am in VIC, 25 years old, Rating 1 for life, just wondering what insurance companies are all the jazz owners here with? and any good or bad experience with these companies? also, does cheap premium equals crap service? any info would be appreciated.....

Thanks in advance..... I would like to shop around before I renew.... :)

Cheers...
Joey

I am with Just Car. Paid $700 for Rating 2 with Just Car. Have made a claim. Good service is all I can say which has met any bad story which ppl spread around with Just Car. I am 24.

I'm 26, rating 3 with aami, $758. Insurance premiums do vary considerably based on claims or driving history, and which suburb the car is garaged.

Cheery service from aami so far (touch wood), compared to my previous bad experience with racq. Suncorp premiums were a little too expensive for me to afford (I switched after 6 months). My buddy also switched to aami and had a fuss free claims/repair service when his ride was involved in an accident recently.

Have you guys been driving for over 4-5 years? How can you get to Rating 1 so quick (just 25-26 yrs).

Be VERY CAREFUL when insuring with AAMI. If you damage your car, you have to take it to their Customer "SERVICE" (read RAPING) Centre. They get repairers to bid on the car, and give it to the cheapest quoting repairer. You get no say in the matter.

I strongly recommend Allianz. My GF crashed her Jazz within three days of getting it, before they had even cashed the premium cheque. I took it to a panel beater with a good reputation. The repair was "borderline", and Allianz replaced the car with a new car without even the slightest argument. Guess who now insures MY Jazz.

Contrast that with my experience before switching from AAMI. Vandals broke a window in my car late on a Friday night. I needed a window in a hurry, so I took it to a dealer for new glass on Saturday morning. Despite the fact that I had been a multi-car customer for over ten years without a claim, AAMI refused to pay because I hadn't bent over and said "Forget the vaseline, just RAPE MY BUTT, PLEASE!!" at their customer lack-of-service centre, and waited 2-3 days with a gaping hole in my car for the privilege.

OK, I'm bitter about AAMI, but I've never heard anything good from any of their customers who has had an accident, and who cared about the quality of their repair.

im 32, have a driving conviction, 3 speeding fines in last 3 years, and 2 claims.

suncorp wanted $825 for me and on rating 4, i rang aami, told em all about my situation, the put me on rating one for $480 !!!!!!

NOTHING WRONG WITH AAMI AND MODS!!!

Told em of my 17" wheels, stereo, zorst, pod, etc, and they said no worries ( but only allow exhaust mods to people over 28 )

I crashed my jazz last year, had bald back tyres, never told em id removed my personalised plates and never told em of a speeding fine i had got a few months back, and they were more than happy to fix my car!

plenty of others wouldnt even insure me!!!

AAMI for sure!!!
