Bonzai CRX

I was just watching High octane overboost and saw a boosted crx making 230+kw at the wheels only running a best of 13.7 i think it was...is it just me or is that slow for so much power?

first of all it's 'BANZAI'

and yeah it should be a lil faster. Andy Le's old car was 247kw @ the wheels and ran 11.73 seconds. his brother's crx has run similar times, low 12's

And the overboost crx was a SiR, stroked to a 1.8 litre if i recall correctly

but wasnt it running super-gay chrome 17/18s with street tread ?

that would play a huge part in the slow time, throw some slicks on it and you'll knock a buttload off the time.

it wasnt running chromiess.....iy was runing i think....volks(can't remember the brand?) street fighter style. they didnt look bling at all.

other fwd cars with less power and street tread have run better times than that, im guessing its cause they limited the boost in first and second gears?

the crx was dynoed with at 230 but it didnt run that boost during the races i dont think
i remember him saying somethin bout the boost.

What tyres were these times run on?

Full slicks?

u can see here it still has the record for the 13th fastest FWD in aus. it was a street car too, half of the rest of the list rarely made it on the roads lol

i`m doing the same setup as him in a few months
same turbo and since he using my engine itll be close power similarities
