Been lurking around and what not for about 2 months now. Finally got my hands on a red FN2R.

Was really keen on getting a Type R without the young kids wanting bloody ridiculous money for something 20 years old.

Really happy with the purchase. Mods have started already!

Main plans for this is to take the K20 out of the car and swap it over with a nice clean B18.

I've seen this happen with EP2's in Europe, so hey, why not do it here?

I have actually already got a B18 - see OP - I plan to probably just keep the K20 just in case anything happens down the track. Most likely just for when I get bored and sell up, I can put the K20 back in and buy something else!

PS: I don't think that anyone will swap a K20 for a B18 plus cash to the B18 owner. Lol. Just thought that was strange.

Just make sure you check your local motoring authority if you're going to keep it road worthy [If located in AUST] as some states iirc don't allow you to swap engines older than your chassis.

Sorry, my post was actually tongue in cheek. Never thought anyone would do a swap like that. But in all seriousness, pretty sure most states will not allow you to register a car with an engine older than the chassis. Might not even get engineered. Best to check with someone qualified otherwise you risk not being able to insure/register it. Good luck and welcome.

Main plans for this is to take the LS3 out of the car and swap it over with a nice clean VN 304.

I've seen this happen with Statos in Europe, so hey, why not do it here?
