The third round of the 2015 Russian VW Polo Cup, a brand cup supported by Motul, took place on 26 and 27 June in the region of Karelia, on gravelled roads. So there was a spectacular show at all the 12 specials located between Lahdenpahya and Sortavala.
At the end of the 139.34 kilometres of timed circuit, the driver hailing from St Petersburg, Yuriy Arshansky, already winner of round one in Moscow, got ahead of his compatriot Yuriy Uryukov.
Artur Muradyan mounted the third step of the podium after beating Denis Rostilov. There were fewer and fewer contenders as the race unfurled: only four of the eight teams starting reached the arrival parc fermé.
