High performance cars require high performance oils, and the 2015 EVO nationals had no shortage of high performance cars. Motul oils came along to talk with competitors throughout the weekend and provide winning cars with some fresh Motul Oil.

A number of competitors present over the weekend were using Motul oils in their cars with great success. Under high intensity environments such as time-attack racing using the correct oil is just as important as tyres or brakes. All the time put into preparing an engine can go to waste if the oil used is not suitable, a potentially weekend ending decision if overlooked.

The weekend kicked off with cars heading out onto the track in a number of practice sessions to dial in any new changes that may have been made leading up to the event.

Friday was wrapped up with some sponsor rides and driver training helping to perfect any tweaks being to both cars and racing lines.

Saturday’s competition saw a flying time of 1:00.94 set by Roberty Gooley in his recently completed Evo VI sporting a Nitto 2.2L stroker motor, taking home fastest lap time overall in addition to best presentation.

The overall win however was claimed by Phil H, setting the second fastest lap time for a combined fastest overall time throughout the weekends events. A well deserved win from the EVO Nats regular in his EVO 6.5 Tommi Makinen Edition.
