I have a 91 civic ed6 with a d15b4 and was wondering what the best way to make power was whilst keeping it looking unmodified as I'm on my red p plates.

Honestly michael, I would just run the car as is, wait till off Ps then go happy with power.

There are mods you can do that harder for police to detect @ RBTs etc [Cams, Headwork, etc] however for your engine I'm not so sure if available [Custom] and worth it/viable, ask the D-Series guys about this.

for a d15
best and easiest/cheapest thing to do would be remove weight from the car itself

you cant make noticeable power on that motor - let alone all the while keeping it hidden.

Can I suggest to "replace" the motor with a newer d16y SOHC vtec or even see if you can squeeze a B series in under the "replacement motor in same chassis year" scheme.

Sorry to tell you guys. But even if you weren't on your P's, you can't legally make engine power mods (of any significance) without having it engineered.

I'd recommend handling and gear ratio tuning to make the most of what you have.

And with a D16Y1 you'd have the power to weight ratio of a DC2R
