hi guys, one of my mates just bought a dc2r. and i had a drive in it, and compared it to my dc2r
the stock type r clutch is known as being light. my clutch is light, and my accelerator and brake pedals are light but feel pressure sensitive (if i tap the accelerator abit, the car moves abit, ditto with the brakes)
his car on the other hand is opposite. his acceralater and brake is very tight, if you tap them abit, the car will launch forward quickly and will also brake more from a tap. his clutch is very hard, and opposite to mine, feels very very firm. you only have to release it abit for the friction point (feels like a MY05 WRX clutch if that helps), it bites fairly quickly
his previous owner claimed it was unmodified, so did the previous owner of my car. my question is, which one of our cars have the right set of pressure on the pedals. mine are light and pressure sensitive. his are very firm and eager. just curious, because if somethings wrong with my car, i'd like to check it out. cause we're both kind of lost now http://forums.clubrsx.com/images/smilies/shrug03.gif
no noticable steering differences and engines both seem to run fairly well. i understand that the pick up point for both the brake and accerelator can be adjusted. but as far as i know, the pick up point on a hydrolic clutch is not adjustable
can anyone enlighten us?
thanks in advance
