hard to turn over ignition key

in the last 2 days i have found its harder and harder to turn over the key in the ignition........"basically when i put the key in its harder and harder to find the point where the key can physically move, i have used a little wd40 and it has helped a little just wondering if its a common prob...

see a locksmith your barrel seems to be worn out, do it ASAP or you will get the key stuck in there and will cost you more.

I had that prob too on my dc2 vtir. I used wd40, and that didnt work, tried this other spray can, similar to wd40. Put the key in and out a few times, wiped it clean and now it turns even better then when i just got it. If you want the name for the can just tell me, i'll get you the name of it when i head out to work 2moro.

lubing the barrel up does wonders like the above fellas said, also you key could be worn. you can try another key, or even get your gey cut as well

thanks guys i did lube up the barrel and it helped a little, im now using a key i had cut when i first got the car.....back then it didnt work so well now its better then the original.

what is graphite powder??

yeah i wouldnt mind knowing the name "57UDD"

also i do move the wheel slightly i always have, if it wernt for doing that id never go any where i believe
