Motul has once again thrown their support behind the Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge including a bevy of top teams from around the globe.

“Motul has had a participation in WTAC since its inception in 2010 and like the event itself we continue to grow,” said Motul Asia Pacific Business Development Manager, Troy Burnside.
“We see WTAC as a very important event for us. Nothing tests a lubricant like a mega horsepower time attack engine and we know we have the products to deliver. In 2015, as well as a physical presence at the event itself, we will be supporting the worldwide Live Stream and most importantly several of the top cars in each category.”

In the Clubsprint Class Motul will once again be supporting John Richardson who is an absolute David amongst the Goliaths. His Nissan R33 is a true enthusiast car – home-built to a modest budget with an owner-driver that is a red hot favourite in 2015; against some much more expensive workshop-backed machinery.

Another Clubsprint competitor enjoying Motul’s backing is David Dalrymple. David debuted at WTAC in 2014 driving his R32 GTR and finished in a credible 18th place in Clubsprint class with a 1.45.57. He will no doubt be looking at improving that time this year.

Moving up to the Open Class, if there was a dark horse it would have to be Brian Bugh and his C5 Z06 Corvette. The car is currently undergoing a series of aero modifications and by all accounts should be a force to be reckoned with in October.

Motul has also teamed up with one of the rising stars of WTAC – Adam Casmiri and the JDM Yard Civic. Adam’s best in 2014 was 1:33.034, good enough for a 7th place.

Joining Team Motul in the Open Class, all the way from New Zealand is Andy Duffin in his stunning 3 Rotor Racing RX7. This car has a formidable reputation in New Zealand and is sure to be near the pointy end of the class.

It’ll be great to see Tarzan Yamada back in the saddle and driving the Carbon Plus Evo in Open Class. Motul has thrown its support behind this very capable team who are aiming for the Open Class podium this year.

Moving up to Pro Class, all the way from UK, SVA Imports will also form part of the Motul team in their record-setting Evo 6.

Last but not least, from Salt Lake City, Utah USA, Lyfe Motorsports in their insane 1,300hp Nissan GTR will also fly the Motul flag in the prestigious Pro Class.
