After several years of ownership I have never been able to track down any sort of workshop manual or wiring diagram for an RB1, so I'm not expecting a lot of help, but here goes...
After changing out the bulb in the cargo area light of my RB1 some strange things are happening:
The cargo area light does not operate at all
The power third row seat switch illuminates when the tailgate is closed (ie most of the time) and illumination goes out when the tailgate is opened.
I have tried a different known good bulb, cleaned all contacts, checked operation of the tailgate switch, checked wiring looms for damage, disconnected battery for 30 minutes to 'reset' MICU (Multiplex Integrated Control Unit).
The cargo area light has two leads. One is a constant 12v, and the other (which should be an earth) shows variably between 7 and 12V - so there is obviously a short somewhere. The only thing I can think of is that the integrated fuse box/MICU has been damaged.
Everything else electrical in the car seems to be working okay.
Any ideas or experiences??
