Odyssey transmission

I have heard that changing the transmission fluid every 15,000 Kms in a 2nd gen V6 Odyssey is the only sure way to prevent transmission failure.
Is there any truth to this ?

they are known to die early... i have heard some people put transmission oil coolers for them in too. But i am no expert.

For my gen1 ody i just pulled the auto and put in a manual box.. unfortunately that is not possible for a J V6 (unless u get a manual tranny from the US or something)
