Hey guys so what are some recommendations on some good oil filters. Prefer the more effective ones. Prices not really so worried about. I just want to try something other than ryco. I hear they could leak. Or they are just not good oil filters like the ones you can grab from local parts store

WTF.

I have been using Ryco on and off never has leaked or given any problems.

Other options you have for a Honda is HAMP or JDM OEM ones. I would just recommend to get Ryco S2k AP1 filter for yourself....Z547 I think part#.

Im currently using Rycos High Performance range @ 22 bucks a pop. I think this one is not worth.

I think ppl who have said they leak are using the wrong one for their cars.

Yup. Get a s2k filter. Ryco to save a few bux, OEM if you want better (arguable) quality. Never heard of people having trouble with Ryco.

I use a Ryco Z148A on my EM1, not the correct replacement but its larger and fits the housing very nice. Went for this one just to add a bit more filter power and capacity.

There isn't an advantage with a larger filter - but hey , no disadvantage either.

OP

dont bother paying top dollar for an oil filter - unless race car just buy the cheaper ryco or equivalent and change every 2nd oil change (every 10,000kms for example)

K&N oil filter FTW otherwise stick with OEM.
Rycos are pretty ordinary..... seen the internals of one fly thru an engine, not pretty

Can you quote a link about this or some info - otherwise this is regarded as a "once off" , much like all manufacturers have a failure here or there.
