I plan to change 4 wheels for my 2003 accord euro, Cl9. It is currently running with 205/55/16 tyres, but I want to have one inch upsizing, and use 225/45/17 tyres. The question is how should I choose the rims, I am not big with these things. Can anyone tell me the parameters of the rim I should use, like rim width, offset? I don't want to cause problems between the wheel and other parts of the body.

What's your current width and offset? Just match that with your aftermarket and you should be fine.

Oem specs are:

For 16 inch (standard) it's 16x6.5 +55
For 17 inch (lux version) it's 17x7 +55

225 tyre suits between 7.5 to 8 inch wide wheels

The stud pattern for the cl9 is 5x114.3

For a mild/conservative offset.... between +40 to +45.

I am assuming that you would like to increase the size of your rims because of looks and handling. Please be mindful that standard 17 inch will be heavier than the oem 16 inch. There are lighter rims you can buy without spending excessive amount (forged wheels).
