lots of smoke when i vtec

i have a em1 and when i vtec it i get lots of white smoke but when i drive normally its fine i dont see any smoke
anyone have any idea what is could be?

Have a look at your fluids, are you losing any coolant or oil?
White smoke typically is coolant being burnt, if it's burning coolant than I'd be looking at the head gasket.

White smoke in vtec might be a hairline head gasket leak...sold a car with a b18c and it did this exactly.

Make sure your oil is in the right range , check your spark plugs for sediment on the electrodes and get a leak down test to find if and where there is a leak
