Hi, my name is Bob Hornby, I was an active member a few years ago when I had a Euro. That was sold and a Forester bought, a very nice car. I have now sold it and bought a HR-V VTi-S. I am a retired mechanical engineer living in Terrigal, Central Coast NSW :D

Welcome to the forum.

Yes it is my Cobra, I built it 18 years ago and still love to drive it. It has an EFI 302 ci motor with 5 speed box and Jaguar suspension and brakes.

Also interested in the cobra. They have been one of my favourite cars since I was a kid.

This photo should have been included in my previous reply. The car took two years to build from a bare purpose built chassis (i.e. NOT a Toyota Crown chassis) and, at the time, a very rough body. much work was needed to get the body to where it is now. I have just passed the 60,000 kilometres mark so it does get out of the garage a bit.

The cobra is beautiful but we mustn't talk about it otherwise it gives Amant president to start talking about his Brumby, next thing you know BAM 1000 DIYs on how to change spark plugs without cutting holes in your chassis.

Mine is very easy to drive either in traffic or on the freeway. The steering is heavy when parking (no power steering + fat tyres) but once over say 10kph then it is just like my HR-V.

Thanks Shogun,
We haven't been on the Central coast very long so no I haven't had it up the mangrove mountain as yet. I didn't get active with the Euro regarding meets.

When I built it (18 years ago) internet was in its infancy and I didn't have a computer back then. So other than build photos in my album no other record.
