Hey guys. i was just wondering whether a 3 Dr Front Bumper is a direct fit onto a 4 DR, without modifying headlights and everything.

And if it is possible, do you think that the 3DR Bumper is more aggresive than the 4 DR?

Thanks

it might , if u chop the bumper itself to accomadate the EG 4dr fenders , headlights, cornerlights ,bonnet etc.

Best to get all the above from a hatch to bolt onto the sedan front.

its not a "direct fit" .
And , it does look more aggressive than the sedan/4dr bumper :)

oh ok. well i thought it might not be. since aftermarket headlamps for the EG are not interchangable between the hatch and sedan. Is it worth my time to modify it or shud i just stick wif my stock bumper. Coz either way i have to change bumper anyway coz mine is cracked.

Thanks for the replies guys

i vote you change it and do a write up of how you did it. the hatch bar looks way better.

from memory the modding Vinh had to do was with the width of the kit compared to the guards and the guards themselves look slightly different. the rest was all pretty strait forward.

it shouldnt be that hard, they r very similar chassis lol.

i say go for it man, hatch bar does look slightly better, but i once wanted to stick a sedan bar on my hatch to be different

but i say do it an write a DIY on it

the lights i have are 1piece and have a rubber seal thingy around the edge and flares out abit between the indicator side and guard/fender. i guess they were designed for the hatch but have the rubber seal to compensate for the gap that there would be on a sedan.

trust me, you'll make your life (and panel beater's) a whole lot easier if you use the hatch fenders and get hatch side indicators (headlights are the same hatch/sedan). oh and use the reinforcement bar from the hatch as the sedan's is not the right size and needs chopping. :p i'm not sure about the hood...i think the sedans is longer than the hatch and sticks out more. my fix to this was to widen the screw holes on top of the front bar (near the hood hatch) and move the front bar out abit to sit flush with the hood's edge.

can we get a sticky or something on the details of this subject? it gets reposted every couple months (do a search, people!!) and i keep getting pm's asking me the same damn questions hahaha

which part is the reinforcement bar you are refering to?

a guy has done it here in perth and i'm pretty sure he just used a bit of force to bolt on the bar at the sides as its stilll not 100% flush. still looks good though

also, did you use 3dr guards or just work around the sedan guards? cos it looks really neat

hahah it's far from neat dude...it doesn't line up that well... you just can't see it from a distance/in photos.

unless you use the hatch guards, the end of the bar won't flow with the edge of the guard and it'll look abit wrong. my panel beater widened the guard abit but it still doesn't look right. like i said, i suggest you use the hatch guards.

the reinforcement bar that sits behind the front bar. on the sedan it's longer than the hatches i think. i remember my panel beater saying he had to chop it. its easier just to get the bar off a hatch.

that's if you really want it though..
