Hello,
I'm helping my father with his old but reliable 98 accord. Unfortunately, the car flags a distributor code which at this point is simply an ECU issue. With that said, i would rather not pay hundreds for the dealer to reprogram the ECU and ask ECU-MAN or anyone here who may know A) how to swap the EEPROM (I can provide HD pictures if needed) B) Give me some suggestions or C) Willing to help me for a service fee. I can ship the current ECU and the one i purchased.
Please note i bought a working ECU with matching numbers which i'm very confident works other than this reprogramming issue.
This is my last option to help my father or I'm going to have to help him buy a used car. Not trying to be cheap or anything is just that i can't see paying half what the car is worth to fix it but fixing it is worth the effort because this beast gets him to work which is a few miles away.
