The AIT sensor looks buggered but we swapped it with my mate's working one out of a B18c2 and it didn't solve anything.

Could it have something to do with this plug?

Or even this disconnected plug i found in my car?

While I'm at it is my car pre or post facelift?

Possibly, is this a new swap? Has it been running befor?

Check power and signal to the sensor then at the ECU

not as far as I know, and I don't have a multimeter or really the knowledge to test it, just got the ecu code that it was the cold air intake sensor.

Well I'd google how to use a multimeter and find an ECU pin out and get testing

that plug is your IAT - you will have to extend it and run it to the 2 wire on the intake manifold.

Are you talking about the plug in my hand or still connected to the engine?

Also which 2 wires on the intake mani?

The connector in your hand is the IAT sensor connector.

Not sure what you have connected to the IAT at the moment, however if it is the purge solenoid connector you have damaged the IAT and possibly the ECU.

Best follow the IAT test procedure to resolve the problem.
