Hi all,
New to the forum. I am replacing the front struts on my 2003 Euro Luxury and have purchased a set of replacement struts off Ebay (Sachs brand). When I removed the passenger side I noticed it was fitted with a bracket that was connected to some sort of sensor

Can someone advise what this is and is it essential as the new strut does not have the bracket fitted and it does not appear I can transfer the bracket across from the old strut to the new one.
