The Fifth Generation of the Skyline GT-R, the GF-BNR34 (R34) Skyline GT-R and GT-R V•spec models were first released in January 1999. The new R34 GT-R brought a shorter base to market (from front to rear), and the front overhang of the car was also reduced. What remained like most GT-R’s of the 1990s was a 2.6L straight 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine producing anywhere from 206kW to 370kW, depending on spec’. The stock turbo-chargers were also of a hybrid steel/ceramic design allowing them to spool up faster due to the light nature of the ceramic exhaust wheel.

The drivetrain delivered power to all four wheels using an electronically controlled AWD system Nissan called the ATTESA E-TS.

Knowing what lubricant to use in any model you have is easy. Just go to www.FindMyOil.com.au and either type in the make and model into the quick search bar or search using the drill down function.

Here’s how to find the right Motul oil for your car:

The same features of refill capacity and recommended product are found in the Manual Transmission, Automatic Transmission and Differential sections.

In some cases there is a note “Refer MOTUL”. This is either due to a change of equipment mid-model or certain requirement for using Motul in this compartment.

Almost all OEM’s do not keep a record of the volume required for a full flush of the braking system. So in the case of the Brake fluid section, only the recommended product is displayed:

The Radiator section may have 2 or 3 refill capacities depending on the models being viewed. This is due to variances between Auto and Manual models. Motul recommends going with the larger volume to be sure you have enough.

Also seen here is a reference to a note: “See note 1840 below.” It is important to always check the note!

Here is the note section, found at the footer of the recommendation list:
