Aftermarket rpm and shift light installation (ek 1996)

Hi guys,
I'm wanting to install an aftermarket rpm gauge and shift light.
Is there a specific gauge I need to purchase and how would I go about installing it? As my car doesn't have a rpm gauge as standard.

u don't need a gauge to install shift light...
best bet, get a oem cluster with a gauge if u want a gauge and add a shift light via external signal box

If your car has an OBD port, you could use something like a Pivot Racing Monitor or Blitz Infometer.
