Hi guys,

What sorta accessories have you guys found to be useful or nice on the Euro?

My list is currently:

- rear spoiler
- metallic trim
- cargo net
- tailored mats
- front/rear mud guards

Is the luggage tray any good? Is it tacky that it stops stuff from sliding too easily?

(Not interested in windows tinting)

Also, what has been the recently wait time for an Euro delivery? 2 weeks? 2 mths??

Thanks.

rear spoiler ----- There are better looking ones out there :D
metallic trim----- You mean on the interior? Each to their own preference :)
cargo net----- Check out the thread "Interesting Bits in your Euro" and see what Yfin did to the boot...
tailored mats----- Good choice because it's tailor made to suit the floor pedal...
front/rear mud guards----- Good if you don't want splash marks on your car after it rains :)

when we purchased our euro delivery would've been abt 4 days if we got a blue car, but we got a graphite so it took 2 wks.

the metallic trim would look nice with a black interior IMHO
tailored floor mats was a freebie from the dealer

thats all i can say for now... we pic up our euro on sunday...
heheh

time seems to flow ssssssooooooooooo slowly wen u wait for something...

I really like the metallic trim - but $600 for a few pieces of plastic - no thanks.

Cargo net is a waste of money. Put an $8 box in the boot and tie it down with the hooks.

Yeap got to agree if u have a black interior the metallic interior kit looks good with it...

Seen it in Perth_Euro's car and it does look classy..

Too bad i got ivory interior... Think the metallic interior kit wouldn't look that nice with ivory...

Dont buy cargo net.. (unless they give it to you for free). because it is not so practical. yFin 's box is more useful than anything else.

Lauggage tray? you mean the rubber waterproof mat in boot? In my opinion: unless you go fishing a lot, or need to carry wet, greasey, or dirty stuff very often, then its not necessary. because it make access to spare wheel very inconvenient.

Just another idea: with 2005 model, there is a rather large space in the middle of space wheel. you can actually put a small containter there to store your small items in there to prevent them from rolling in the boot.

If you don't need the full boot tray, you can head down to Super Cheap and get one of the square boot trays (comes in 3 sizes, width is same as the width of the opening of the backseats. Doesn't cover the sides. Made of heavy duty foamy material, so you can still lift up the spare wheel cover with the tray on top. $20 only, compared to Honda's boot tray, $160.

Complete Mat set at Autobarn custom made to fit $134, look great, well made.
Non-Slip Mat from Crazy Clarks $2 , works well

i think the trim is an option from honda. along with the silver trim they also have full brown woodgrain and full black woodgrain trim

Peekay, what do you mean not sitting 100% flat?

is it a stick on type? are those alumium or plastic?

evolution42, how did you get metalic trim in the luxury model?

evolution42, how did you get metalic trim in the luxury model?

what do you mean? you just order it and the dealer puts in on for you. It's very pricey at around $6xx for 11 pieces of plastic, but it breaks up the somewhat dark interior of the euro very nicely. It wouldn't suit the beige interior imo.

I am pretty sure it's just stuck on with double-sided tape. And also, i'm pretty sure it's the same finish as the silver on the steering wheel audio control surrounds, not the (darker) silver finish around the radio/temp display surround

did that answer your question? if not, please elaborate on what you mean:o

Correct - it can be added to your car at any time. I found the instructions somewhere on the internet - it really is only a few pieces of plastic stuck onto the interior panels. I like the look but would prefer to spend the $600 on something else.

yeah it answers my question
However i was told that I couldn't get the silver interior because the luxury comes standerd with the wood grain I got the black.
Do you know anywhere I can purchase the silver and not have to go through a dealer?

You can buy the spare part at the spare parts section at your dealers. Just tell them you want the silver trim kit. Don't tell them anything else. They should sell it with no hassle. Money talks.

I think the dealer misunderstood your request in the first place. He might have thought that you wanted the beige interior with silver trim combination from the factory. If you want to buy the silver as an extra and add it on, there shouldn't be a problem.

thats rather odd, and a bit riduculous i might add. ive also noticed they don't offer the metallic trim on the honda website as well...

i don't understand why honda would restrict selling something as profitable as the metallic trim *$600 for some plastic*

I think PeeKay meant the boot tray will not sit flat on 2005's slightly bulged boot floor. 2005's model gets full size sparewheel, therefore the boot floor is not completely flat like ours (03, 04 model). and I doubt Honda will redesign the boot tray to specifically fit 05 models boot. the market for boot tray is somewhat limited.

Hey evolution42, refering to your second picture, did they need to remove the existing wood trim first or did they just stick the siver trim straight on top?

Thanks for the pics...metallic looks good.

I was going to order it but for some reason dealer was not keen...I was quoted $550 installed. Decided to see how I go without it (pick up Arctic Blue Lux Auto on Tuesday). I then discussed trying to get the black woodgrain in the centre console replaced with the dark gray gloss trim in the standard Euro but he said it was not possible...I'm not too keen on the black woodgrain in the centre console...

...dunno if he was legit or it was just too difficult and he wanted to sell me a car there and then!
