View Full Version : Camber bolts vs camber adjustable coilovers?

Hi all,

Driving an EP3R.
I had Whiteline camber bolts when I still had stock suspension to achieve some negative camber.
Recently, MCA X-R suspension has been installed with the camber bolts.

My question is... should the camber be set by the bolts or by the adjustment on the coilovers?
Should I ditch the camber bolts? I don't aim to run more than -2' camber.

Many thanks.

I assume you meant camber tops come with the coilovers.

If so you can go back to using the regular bolts for the hub. (unless you are doing some lame stance setup)

Yep. That's what I meant. I'm not looking to go for the lame stance setup.
Which option is more reliable/sturdier?
I've had the camber bolts loosen up before so I'm less willing to use them if I don't need to.

Just use the camber plates on the coil overs and put the stock bolts back in.

In general the camber bolts are usually smaller diameter shank with a cam in order to get more adjustment out of the stock mount position.

You just mentioned you have seen them slip yourself so that is evidence enough in itself, assuming they were torqued up correctly.

Well you have to use the camber plates regardless because they are part of the coilover?
