I only realized when i got home that my rear window is shattered. Only thing holding it together is the tint.
I park along a main road where they're doing construction work. I honestly reckon something hit my rear window from the construction work happening there.
But how do i prove it?
Anyhow, I've rang my insurance and a few window replacement companies.
My insurer (auto and general via austpost) said it'll cost $600 for a windscreen claim.
I've left a "quote call me back" for O'briens who are yet to call me however am assuming they won't be any cheaper.
National windscreens (www.nationalwindscreens.com.au) can fix and replace for $450 tomorrow late arvo or $520 tonight.
They seem to be the cheapest going around. 3 other places quoted me $600-$650.
This is way cheaper than the insurance quoted for window claims at $600 who also advised they go through National Windscreens. So I'm assuming the money hungry insurance company claim the extra $150 as a bonus... f outta here!!
Can anyone recommend any other cheaper places or had a similar experience ?
