So I have a new mfactory final drive and LSD (comes with new bearing too) to install into my gearbox as well as a new Honda LS 5th,

Can anyone give me some tips on this when I have it all out
Also what seals ? Do I need while I’m at it?

Since your from SA, why not just drop it off at neat gearbox. He did my box many years back, best box I've owned to date.

Yes,do that... I sold a car part to a guy who has a b16a2 and just installed a mfactory LSD and he said his car 'hops'..it didn't pass a rego check.

Not saying they are bad cause they are not but if that can happen, get a pro to install it.

I might require about the costs.. I’m pretty tech savvy but it’s having the experience that makes a gearbox last

Dont muck around with the box.

For one , you will need to measure the new diff to cover lash.
Plus you really should be replacing every bearing and seal you can while it's out.

Full inspection required

I took it to Neat in the end $345 quoted for the work needed

Is there a gasket between the gearbox and the engine when mating them together ?

Non of the cars I have done before has had this.

They do have an inspection plate usually.

There is is a MAIN SEAL that sits just behind the flywheel , engine side.
You should replace this every gearbox drop for piece of mind
