I wouldnt recommend this approach long term. However when I found out my daily had a torn CV boot during an engine swap I considered how I would approach it. I didnt have the time or will to order one.

1. Go to Bunnings and buy some Steel Cable Ties used in Elect: $4.00
2. Also buy some Rubber Glue: Tarzan Grip Shock Proof: $9.00
3. IF you really want - go to a Bike Store and get a used Bike Tyre to cut up
4. CV Grease: I got mine from Supercheap: $9.00
5. 24 Hours - 48hrs

Clean up the CV Boot
Line up the tears bit by bit and Glue them in stages
Wait about 3hours to glue the next tear segment
Add the CV Grease
Seal the Boot with the Cable Ties
:
I WAS intending to make a temp boot cover from the bike tyre and overlay this but i found the CV boot was holding STRONG as new. However you can glue it in a strip approach and then add a plastic tie. Will last a few years minimum

MY tears were at the Axle End as opposed to the larger CV end

One segment didnt line properly because I was distracted and misplaced my clamp but the parts that matter lined up.
