Yeah prices on ebay look pretty good, but make sure you ask them about shipping. I was quoted around the $300USD mark.

Tein HA, superceded by Tein SS... these seem to be the best street compromise if you want a tein branded product.

in my opinion, go for the tein flex. did a bit of research on them a while back and they are good. almost bought a set, until i found a set of very new hks hipermax 2 for my baby. but if u wanna go for teins, go for the flex. IMO.

If you have the cash the Tein Type-Flex is best with the EDFC, considering you want 50/50 track/street setup. Adjust the firmness incar with a press of a button. I have them in my EK and when i'm by myself or want to take a few corners i set it to firm, but when the GF in the car or when i'm driving with a passenger set it to soft.

Type-flex with upper pillow-ball mount and EDFC will cost you just over $3000.00

SS will cost you $1600 or just a bit more...

Tein Type Flex - suitable for street...
Tein Type HA - Suitable for street and track.. stiffer than flex
(been in a dc2r with HA the ride wasn't too bad)
Tein Type RA - more suited to track... I've heard people say it's a bit too stiff for track

HKS Hypermax 2 - probably in the similar range of Type RA, have a friend with S15 with these coilovers.. he says u get used to the stiff sus. but it was to rough for me...

I would say go for either Flex or HA

HA is difficult to get now because it has been on runout for a while. Having said that there are always 2nd hand sets around which have done low k's. EDFC is a bit of a wank imo - just as easy to adjust by hand.

You don't adjust the firmness all the time, but if you want to adjust the rear shocks on an EK, you have to take out the rear seats or bend the rear moulding to get to the top of the suspension.... not very fun ;)

I also believe the HA are/have been replaced by the type-flex...

dont forget to invest another $200 or so ontop - to acquire a larger diameter rear swaybar too :) ( THE most influencial handling upgrade)

i always have an impression that coilovers are hard, cos its design for track, so track biased. correct me if i'm wrong.
