Gear CRUNCH

Hey guys just wondering if u could help me.....My Teg LS 89 crunches in gear 3 if u gear up or down at about 4000revz u can avoid it by puting in the gear slowly but it gets very annoyin when i hoon it, is there any way of fixing this problem???

when was the last time you change your gearbox fluid?

a lot of money...
change your gearbox fluid asap
it might not completely fix the problem, but it will definately prolong the life of your synchros/box

I have the same problem and I have changed my fluid but it was no good! so now I'm looking at doing a full re-build or better yet just get my self a neew Box??? time and money will tell but yet again I don't have mutch time coz it's getting worse!

Just take not that with a second hand box you might have more problems later on. IMO best to rebuild your current box.

like wyn said the synchro is probably worn....while u are deciding what you are gonna do with your car..ull probably have to double clutch when u put it in gear

thanks peepz...well if i gear it is fast..when i'm in hi revs it does make quite a loud noise....but i will change the gear box fluid as soon as i can....
